Starlifter (cancelled)

FYI Starlifter is a cancelled project, which was in development around 2022- 2023

Starlifter is a 2D top down space RPG where you can do whatever you want and be whatever you want, taking lots of inspiration from games like Star Citizen and Elite Dangerous.

Features:

• 2500 procedurally generated stars to visit.
• 16 unique ships that can be outfitted to your liking.
• 28 unique ship components.
• Various ship modes between all ships, like weapons, manned turrets, missiles, countermeasures, mining lasers, and more.
• Dynamic world. NPC ships fly around doing various tasks, from shuttling to hauling cargo.
• Dynamic economy. The economy is random from system to system, shifting based on supply and demand.
• Commodity trading.
• Ship refueling and repairing.
• Personal transport contracts and cargo hauling contracts.
• Contracts / quest log.
• Revenue log.
• Station storage (if the station has a storage module).
• Procedurally generated planets (cannot be landed on, just background decoration).
• Procedurally generated stations with random modules for each station.
• Dynamic mining, where asteroids dynamically change shape while mining.
• Refineries. Mining gives raw materials which must be refined at a station with a refinery module.
• Fly in normal speed or hyperspeed, and jump between star systems.
• ALL ship wrecks, debree, and loot that they drop are fully persistent and will stay forever unless you loot or salvage the wrecks.
• Galaxy map and system map.
• Map markers and death markers.
• Insurance system. As long as you ship is insured you get an insurance claim token, which can be used to claim a factory new ship.
• Dynamic ship combat.

There was plenty of other features that was planned as well, but never made it into the game.

The Discord server for the game is still up and running, where all the dev posts and still available, and other stuff like in-game cheat commands and such.
